Ivan Kelaskin was educated in three metropolitan cities. His area of interest extends from classical music and art history, to philosophy, culturology and religion.

Graduated from St. Petersburg State University; Tajik State Institute of Arts, Dushanbe, soloist instrumentalist, violin; Orthodox St. Tikhon's University, Moscow, Theology. Postgraduate study of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Moscow.

Since 1990 he has been a soloist of the Chamber Orchestra of the Tajik State Philharmonic. Since the mid-1990s, the competition was held, and worked in the Moscow theaters New Opera, Helikon Opera. Was engaged in teaching activities.

Since 2000, for more than 10 years he worked as a senior researcher, an expert on ancient violins in the Moscow GCMMK Glinka, which has the world's largest collection of vintage bow instruments, including violins, violas and cellos of Amati, Antonio Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesu, Carlo Bergonzi, Majini , Ruggeri, Vuillaume, Lupot.

 Worked at the XII, XIII international competitions P.I. Tchaikovsky, in the category of violin masters, as an expert and trusted violin maker.

  Awarded with a special personal medal of the Tchaikovsky Competition.
